My Go-To Bach Flowers
A gentle guide to the remedies I always return to.
I’ve been taking Bach Flowers for years now — and I love them. I feel the shifts, the support, the subtle realignment they bring. Over time, I’ve read, studied, experimented, and learned enough (for my own personal use) to feel confident creating my own formulas whenever I need them. It’s one of my favorite self-care rituals.
If you’re new to Bach Flowers, here’s the short and sweet version:
They are vibrational essences made from flowers, designed to support emotional balance and energetic harmony. They don’t have side effects, you can’t overdose, and there are no contraindications. They simply work on an energetic level, helping you release emotional patterns that no longer serve you and return to your natural state of balance.(You can read all about them here).
Our needs change with every season of life — but there are a few Bach Flowers that I always keep close. Of course, your formula should always match your goals and emotional landscape, but here’s my personal go-to list:
1. Wild Oat — Clarity of Purpose
We all go through seasons of change — moments when our soul whispers “more,” but we’re not sure what that “more” is. Wild Oat is my anchor during those chapters. It brings clarity about direction, next steps, and bigger purpose. It aligns you with your soul’s path, not your ego’s expectations.
2. Rock Water — Releasing Self-Pressure
According to my therapist (lol), this is one of my base Bach Flowers. If you’re self-demanding, perfectionistic, overly rigid with yourself… hello, this is your friend. Whenever I notice I’m pushing myself too hard or lacking softness toward myself, Rock Water gently reminds me to breathe, soften, and allow.
3. White Chestnut — Quieting the Mind
Hello overthinkers — this one is for us. If your mind loops the same thought on repeat, if you struggle to “turn off” your brain, White Chestnut is a beautiful support. It helps quiet mental noise and bring peaceful clarity.
4. Olive — Restoring Energy
We live in a world that demands too much, too often. Olive is my remedy when I feel drained, depleted, or energetically “leaky.” It nurtures your vitality, restores your energy, and helps your electromagnetic field recover from stress, overwork, or emotional heaviness.
5. Vervain — Stress & Anxiety Support
A classic. A lifesaver. If I’m going through a lot, a few drops of Vervain under my tongue 3–4 times a day make such a noticeable difference. It softens tension, lowers stress, and brings me back to calm.
6. Hornbeam — Goodbye Procrastination
When I’m dragging my feet, looping in avoidance, or pouring energy into everything except what I actually need to do, Hornbeam is my go-to. It brings freshness, motivation, and the sense of “okay, let’s do this."
7. Mimulus — Facing Fear with Courage
This one is potent for me. Mimulus is for fear — especially fears with a known cause (fear of repeating past experiences, fear of specific situations, fear of visibility, fear of taking a step). It softens the inner tremble and creates space for movement, courage, and gentle action.
8. Larch — Confidence & Self-Belief
Self-doubt, impostor syndrome, feeling “not enough”... Larch helps dissolve all of that. It supports confidence, self-trust, and the willingness to try — even if the mind is whispering that you’re not ready.
If you’re exploring Bach Flowers, I hope this gives you a beautiful place to start. And if you already love them, let me know which ones you always keep in your toolbox.
Your inner world deserves this kind of support — gentle, energetic, and soul-aligned.
